    The pump head shaft can pass through the motor shaft and connect to an integrally mounted drive coupling in hollow shaft motors. 

    Hollow Shaft is a hollow drive shaft that is attached to electric motors or right-angle gear drives to accommodate the pump's solid shaft. NOTE: The hollow shaft design allows for impeller adjustment within the bowl assembly and the installation of a non-reverse ratchet in the motor or gear drive.
